Since 2003, the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Fishing Festival has been held annually in the city of Hwacheon, Gangwon province. Tens of thousands of visitors throng the area for a unique winter experience.
This tour package is mainly designed to leave you with fun-filled memories.
Grill Center—Take your Sancheoneo Fish to the grill center, where it will be grilled for you. Then, enjoy it with your friends and family.
You can also try bare-hand fishing, ice sledding, and many other activities that will fill up the festival enclave!

Reminders
Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of departure. The tour bus will not wait for those who are late.
Children under 36 months can join for free but will not be provided with a separate bus seat and must sit with their parents.
This joint group bus tour will only be confirmed if at least two participants book on the same date.
No age requirement to join the festival activities.
The itinerary is subject to change depending on traffic and weather conditions on the tour date.
The tour will still run on rainy and snowy days unless there are government-issued warnings. However, it may be canceled due to heavy rain or snow.
Please plan to wear comfortable clothing and bring winter gear (e.g., a scarf or tuque). The tour partner is not responsible for any injuries or losses incurred while on tour.
Illumination Plaza is located 10 ~ 15 minutes away from the festival venue.
Sancheoneo can catch 3 fish per person and must be returned except for one fish.

Good experience with the event Although it is very cold due to weather conditions and little issue with the bus condition, everything still goes well . It was a really nice trip at a very cheap price! Ice fishing was fun especially when you catch a fish. We also did ice skating and got to see snow fall from the sky. It was a first time for me. Great lunch too. Although one thing I would suggest – I hope the guide will be more interactive to the guests. Because our tour guide did not have much interaction with us, would’ve been more fun if he did. But still a great time. ?
