Overview
The Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice fishing festival has been held every year in the city of Hwacheon, Gangwon province since 2003. It attracts tens and thousands of visitors who throng to the area for a unique winter experience.
This tour package is particularly designed to leave you with fun-filled memories.

Reminders
Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of departure. The tour bus will not wait for those who are late.
No age requirement to join the festival activities.
The itinerary is subject to change depending on traffic and weather conditions on the tour date.
The tour will still run on rainy and snowy days unless there is government-issued warnings. However, the tour may be canceled due to heavy rains or snow.
Please plan to wear comfortable clothing and bring winter gear (scarf/ tuque, etc.). The tour partner does not take responsibility for any injuries or losses incurred while on tour.
Illumination Plaza is located 10 ~ 15 minutes away from the festival venue.
Sancheoneo can catch 3 fish per person and must be returned except for one fish.

Thank you very much..we were having such a wonderful experience in Hwacheon Ice fishing festival..a hassle free trip and more economical..We were a family of 6 and can you imagine being served with 6 big grilled fish? Good experience with the event Although it is very cold due to weather conditions and little issue with the bus condition, everything still goes well . Is very fun…We came on weekday no5 much people very fast we 2pax caught 3fishs total within 20min. After that we walk around & play 3 round of slide. Thank to the earmuff

A tour worth going as it was a good experience. however, instructions on how to fish were not well taught. If you are planning to try for ice fishing, this is definitely a good deal not to be missed.

It was a really nice trip at a very cheap price! Ice fishing was fun especially when you catch a fish. We also did ice skating and got to see snow fall from the sky. It was a first time for me. Great lunch too. Although one thing I would suggest – I hope the guide will be more interactive to the guests. Because our tour guide did not have much interaction with us, would’ve been more fun if he did. But still a great time. ?

The place was so big with a lot of different activities on ice! It was a cool experience catching fish and getting to eat it! Both the fish and the Korean Street food was so yummy~ We had a great day, definitely would recommend for families with small children and it’s also a fun day trip for friends^^
