Fu Bao, First Panda Born in South Korea
🐼 Fu Bao the first panda born in South Korea is currently trending all over the world for being the new baby panda. We would like to share with you some Panda facts along with cute baby Fu Bao pictures 💖
Parents Ai Bao (🐼Mother) and Le Bao (🐼Father) are both from the Sichuan Dujiangyan Panda Habitat in China. They first arrived in South Korea in 2016, a 15-year loan agreed by South Korea and Chinese during a summit in 2014. Ai Bao was two years old and Le Bao was three years old.
Both Ai Bao and Le Bao are named after Everland (AiBaoLeYuan) in Chinese. Ai Bao means “an adorable treasure” while Le Bao means “a treasure that gives happiness”. Both did live up to their names after 5 years, welcoming the first panda born in South Korea, Fu Bao ❤
🐼 Fu Bao, the first panda was born in South Korea last year in mid-July at the amusement park Everland. Fu Bao was weighed 197 grams and measured at 16.5cm at birth. Just like her parents, she was given the name Fu Bao which means “lucky treasure”. Now let’s hope that Fu Bao will be able to live up to her name and bring us all luck in 2021.
After living behind the scenes for 6 months, Fu Bao finally made her very first public appearance on January 4th. Visitors can see Fu Bao at Everland’s Panda World at a certain time. To visit Fu Bao, please get a “waiting ticket“ at the Panda World! The waiting ticket will show you what time you can visit Fu Bao.
