2026 Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Cultural Festival Day Tour – Royal Parade and Folk Heritage Experience (27th Sep-4th Oct)

Festival programs vary by travel date. The Royal Parade program is scheduled for 4th October, the Media Art program for 5th and 6th October, and the stage performance program for 7th to 10th October. Before the parade begins, enjoy free time at the festival venue and prepare to experience Suwon’s royal heritage brought to life on the streets surrounding the fortress.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Haenggung Palace & Media Art (Oct 5th & 6th)

Explore Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung Palace while learning about the city’s history and royal heritage. The program also includes time to enjoy festival activities, local food, and the historic surroundings.

In the evening, follow the fortress walls to the Media Art area, where light and visual storytelling transform the historic setting into a memorable nighttime experience.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

Suwon Hwaseong is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Suwon, South Korea. Built in the late 18th century by King Jeongjo, the fortress and palace complex features historic gates, walls, watchtowers, and military facilities.
