Korean Folk Village

Korean Folk Village is an open-air museum located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It showcases traditional Korean life and culture from the late Joseon period. Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

Suwon Hwaseong is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Suwon, South Korea. It was built in the late 18th century by King Jeongjo as a fortress and palace complex. The fortress walls span almost 6 kilometers and are dotted with four gates and a number of watchtowers. You can walk along the walls, explore the palace buildings, and enjoy cultural performances and events held within the site.

Suwon Nammun Market

Suwon Nammun Market is a traditional market that has a history that dates back to the Joseon Dynasty, and it is one of the largest and oldest markets in the country. The market is situated near the famous Hwaseong Fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can find traditional food, as well as other interesting products.

An enchanting day-to-night journey into Joseon-era art and celebration.

• Enjoy free time exploring the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival grounds.

Immersive Art Performance ‘Jinchan’ (On 29th & 30th September)

Experience a modern reinterpretation of the royal banquet King Jeongjo held for his mother in 1795. This immersive show combines real palace spaces with digital art to bring history to life in a stunning new way.

Water Performance ‘Seonyu-mong’ (On 1st & 2nd October)

Set on the serene Yongyeon Pond, this poetic water performance recreates King Jeongjo’s elegant boat outings with his mother. Enjoy a magical blend of lights, music, and reflections inspired by Joseon-era traditions.

Suwon Fantasy ‘Yajo’ (On 3rd & 4th October)

Inspired by King Jeongjo’s night military training at Suwon Hwaseong, this epic outdoor performance features horseback drills, military choreography, fireworks, and powerful sound—a thrilling tribute to royal leadership and strength.
