There are so many types of Spring flowers in Korea such as forsythias, azalea, plum blossoms and of course, cherry blossoms. But don’t you know that the magnolia flowers are also loved by many people in Korea? Magnolia flower is considered to bring about nostalgic and romantic feelings. There is also a festival dedicated to celebrating the poetic beauty of magnolia: Taean Magnolia Festival.

The festival is held annually at Cheollipo Arboretum in Taean, South Chungcheong Province. This is one of Asia’s best botanical institutions with approximately 14,000 different species of plants, including mỏre than 400 types of magnolia species. Visiting the arboretum in spring, you will have the chance to witness the spectacular scenery of all kinds of magnolias as well as other flowers in full bloom.

The next destination of the tour is Mallipo beach, located 18km away from Taean. The beach features a 2km-long sandy beach with a large tidal range and gentle waves. Mallipo Beach is quite popular for its beautiful scenery of sunset.

After visiting the beach, you will be taken to a nearby strawberry farm where you can experience being a farmer and bring home up to 500g fresh strawberries picked by yourself! Enjoy Korea’s spring to the best with this special one-day tour!
