Travelling back in time to the Sabi Era of Baekje Kingdom
During the Three Kingdoms periods from 57 BC to 668 AD , Korea was divided into three kingdoms of Baekje (백제), Silla (신라) and Goguryeo (고구려). Buyeo, formerly known as Sabi, was one of the old Baekje Dynasty capitals founded in 18 B.C. and existed for 700 years until 660 A.D.
Nowadays, although not being a major tourist destination, this little town is still home to many beautiful tourist attractions such as temples, tombs, tranquil nature scenery with a relaxing and uncrowded atmosphere. If you want to have quick get away from the bustling urban life, join this tour to experience the slow pace of life as well as the spectacular historical sights in Buyeo! You will also get to participate in an interesting cooking class in the middle of a rural village and experience the local life at a traditional market!

Busosanseong Fortress
Busosanseong Fortress is a mud fortress located on top of Busosan Mountain in the northern part of Buyeo. The fortress was constructed during the Baekje Period around the 6th century and served as a defense fortress as well as a garden for the royal palace. It has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2015, and is considered one of the most culturally significant places in South Korea.
Buyeo Traditional Market
Visiting this traditional market, visitors will be able to taste local specialties that are only available in Buyeo and experience the authentic daily life atmosphere of the locals.

Jeongnimsaji Temple Site
Jeongnimsaji Temple Site (National Treasure No. 9) is home to the most representative Baekje era relics in Buyeo. A museum was established on the building site of Jeongnimsa Temple in order to highlight the Buddhist culture of Korea as well as to recreate the history of the Sabi era by using an interactive approach that relies heavily on videos, panels, replicas, and hands-on programs. Main attractions at the museum include the five-story stone pagoda of Jeongnimsaji and the seated stone Buddha.

This was a very nice trip. But it would have been nice to have a fair warning that there was going to be a fair bit of uphill climbing through the mountain before hand.
The reststop duration was a bit smaller than the other trips.
The monastery in the fortress was very pretty and the UNESCO heritage site was beautiful too!

Overall the trip was great! The UNESCO heritage sites were beautiful and the lunch was delicious. The weather wasn’t terrible either. We were told that the path to the Temple wasn’t very hard but we were not warned that the path back would be completely uphill with a lot of stairs. It would have been nice to receive a warning instead of “it’s only a little uphill.” Other than that, everything was fine.
