I went on the Andong Private UNESCO Tour and it was quite interesting! I wanted to visit Hahoe village for quite a long time, but I never had the chance since it feels far away and hard to reach. The tour was very convenient to visit places that I couldn’t have visited by myself. I enjoyed visiting Hahoe and watching the mask dancing. Our guide was very kind and explained us many historical details of every place. Also we had the opportunity to eat Andong jjimdak. My recommendation: Try to book the tour in Spring or Autumn, to get to see the blossoms or the falling of the leaves.

Andong, a beautiful city with specially designated UNESCO sites to learn about Confucian history in Korea! As they are all located in the mountains and countryside, it’s very efficient to have the personal driver/tour guide from Andong. However, I think this tour will be even better in spring/autumn/summer to appreciate the harmony of nature and history. The traditional mask dance performance was also an enjoyable experience with English translations making it easy to follow the folk story!

For me, hanok stay was the best part of this trip. Since it was a real old hanok I loved it. For those who want to take this trip in the winter,I recommend having enough warm clothes with yourself. Our tour guide was not fluent in English but his English proficiency was enough to convey the historical info even with details so dont worry. The bridge that we visited was so colorful and beautiful. You can take a lot of good pictures over there. Dont forget to put your camera on the night mode. I recommend this trip for those who like exploring new things…… for Lunch in the first Day with had noodle soup which a grandmother had made it directly by herself .I liked that one too. It was a new type of noodle. And for dinner we had jimtag . For this meal you have to pay by yourself but we used the coupons and vouchers that we had .

This tour was really nice. I went with friends, but this is indeed a romantic tour – if you have a date, this is the right tour to go (especially the bridge at night!). The guide was very attentive and we could speak in English with him, making the communication easier. Through this tour, we could know more about Andong, enjoy the scenery both during the day and night, and also try some good foods.

I can’t say less that it was one of my favorite trips in Korea. We visited many places and at the same time we weren’t tired. The program was great and the tour guide/ driver was the best and coolest person we can ever ask for. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone and I will post about it in my SNS because I’d like to share this cool experience with other people. Best points: The beauty of places, The tour guide and travelmates. Less good point: None.
