The main hike leads you up to Ulsanbawi Rock, the iconic granite formation that defines the Seoraksan skyline. The trail passes the famous Rocking Rock (Heundeulbawi), a massive boulder that sways but never falls, before climbing a series of steep deck staircases to the summit.
At the top, the view opens up across the entire East Coast — sea, peaks, and sky in every direction. Your expert guide brings the mountain to life along the way, sharing the legends and history carved into every cliff face and ridge.

⚠️ Physical Fitness & Health Requirements

This is a rigorous professional hiking tour, not a casual walking tour. The trail to Ulsanbawi Rock includes steep rocky paths and hundreds of stairs.
Participants must have a good level of physical fitness.
This tour is strictly not recommended for pregnant women, seniors with mobility issues, infants, or individuals with heart/back conditions.

🥾 What to Wear & Bring

Footwear: Proper hiking boots or sturdy trail shoes are mandatory for your safety. (Casual sneakers, sandals, or slippers are not allowed).
Clothing: Dress in comfortable, breathable athletic layers. The mountain weather can change quickly, so bringing a light windbreaker or jacket is highly recommended.
Essentials: Bring a backpack with plenty of drinking water (at least 1-2 liters), energy snacks (chocolate, protein bars), a hat, and sunscreen.

🌦️ Weather & Itinerary Policy

The tour operates rain or shine. However, the Seoraksan National Park Management Office may abruptly restrict access to certain trails (like Ulsanbawi) due to severe weather conditions (heavy rain, strong winds, fire prevention periods, etc.).
In the event of a trail closure, the guide will provide the best possible alternative hiking route within the park. This is not grounds for a refund.
The itinerary is subject to change depending on local traffic and weather conditions on the day of the tour.

🚌 Meeting & Punctuality

Please arrive at your designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the departure time. The bus will leave strictly on time and will not wait for latecomers.
No refunds or rescheduling will be provided for missing the bus or arriving late.
For Option B (Meet at Seoraksan): Transportation to the mountain is not provided. Please check the local bus/taxi schedules in advance and account for traffic to arrive at the Seorakdong Visitor Center by 10:30 AM.
