Time traveling trails from the modern to the past of Seoul

This night walking tour will take you to the most famous spots in Seoul that reflect the city’s charming mix of classic and contemporary architecture. You might recognize some of the places included in this tour as they were filming locations for many famous Korean films! The tour guide will also help you with taking beautiful snapshots that record the most memorable moments of your trip to Korea.

Our first destination is Dongdaemun design plaza (DDP), which is considered to be the most Instagram tagged location in Korea. DDP is an iconic urban landmark of Seoul as well as the Korean design industry. The complex has a unique futuristic design and has been served as the venue for numerous domestic and international cultural events such as exhibitions, conferences, fashion shows…It also appears infamous Korean dramas like “You Who Came from the Stars”, “Producer”, and “She Was Pretty.”

The second place that you will visit is a very traditional architectural work – the Heunginjimun Gate, more widely known as Dongdaemun Gate (Great Eastern Gate). This a major historical site was designated as National Treasure No.1 by the Korean government. Served as one of the main gates to the city during the Joseon era, Heunginjimun is famous for its stunning architecture which is a magnificent sight in both day and night time.

After this, you will be taken to Hanyangdoseong, also known as the Seoul City Wall. This wall that once surrounded and protected the city more than 600 years ago still stands strong to witness the changes of modern day Seoul. Besides being a historical monument, the harmonization between architecture and natural beauty here is a perfect background for your traveling snapshots!

The later part of the tour pass through some more interesting places with spectacular scenery such as Bugak Palgakjeong Pavilion, Naksan Park and Marronnier Park. Let’s explore scenic locations of Seoul together and have a memorable night!
