Step into history with the ultimate DMZ experience!
Imjingak Park is a meaningful site located near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), offering insight into Korea’s history of division and ongoing hope for peace. The park features war memorials, observatories, and exhibits about the Korean War.
One of its highlights is the Freedom Bridge, once used by prisoners of war returning from the North. It’s a peaceful yet powerful place that blends historical reflection with beautiful riverside scenery.
Freedom Bridge is located 2 kilometers north of Munsan, and it is the only path that connects between the south and north around Imjin river. It was originally the Kyung-eu railway bridge, and reconstructed to the road bridge later.
Discovered in 1978, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel is one of four underground tunnels dug by North Korea to infiltrate the South. Located just 52 km from Seoul, this 1.6 km-long tunnel offers a striking glimpse into the tensions of the Korean Peninsula. Visitors can walk part of the tunnel with a helmet and experience the narrow, hidden passage once meant for military invasion.
It’s a powerful reminder of Korea’s divided past — and a must-see on any DMZ tour.
The DMZ Exhibition Hall & Theater offers an insightful look into Korea’s division, featuring multimedia exhibits and films about the history, significance, and current state of the Demilitarized Zone.
From Dora Observatory, tourists can view the North Korean propaganda village in the DMZ and as far north as the city of Gaeseong.
Majanghosu Suspension Bridge offers more than the bridge itself with amenities like benches, wildflowers, water sports, and a lakeside promenade. It’s the perfect place for couples or a family day out. The bridge is surrounded by mountains and a lake, offering a scenic landscape that becomes even more spectacular at sunset. Midway through the bridge, the floor is partially made of bulletproof glass for a thrilling view below one’s feet.
