Take KTX like a pro with a KORAIL Pass

What is KTX?

KTX stands for Korea Train Express. It is a high-speed rail system in South Korea that connects major cities in the country, including Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Gwangju, and others.

KTX trains operate at speeds of up to 305 km/h (190 mph) and offer comfortable and convenient travel options for both domestic and international passengers.

What is a KORAIL’s KR Pass?

It is a type of train pass offered by the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) that allows unlimited train travel on most of KORAIL’s trains, including the KTX, over a specified period of time. The pass is available for foreign tourists only and can be purchased either for a consecutive or flexible number of days.

The KR Pass offers a cost-effective way to explore different regions of South Korea, with the flexibility to choose the duration and the number of days of train travel. The pass can be used on all KORAIL trains, except for a few special tourist trains and subways.

Travelers can purchase the pass before arriving in South Korea or at major train stations in the country. The pass also provides discounts on certain tourist attractions and can be a convenient and affordable way to travel around the country.

Types of KR Pass: Consecutive & Flexible

KR Passes

Consecutive Pass

A consecutive pass allows unlimited train travel on consecutive days. For example, if you purchase a 5-day consecutive pass, you can use it on any 5 consecutive days from the date of activation. Once activated, the pass cannot be paused or used on non-consecutive days.

The Consecutive pass has two options: 3 or 5 days.

Please consider that the one round-trip on the AREX is NOT included with this pass.

Flexible (Select) Pass

A flexible pass allows unlimited train travel on any day within a specified period of time. For example, if you purchase a 3-day flexible pass, you can use it on any 3 days within a 10-day period from the date of activation. This means that you do not have to use the pass on consecutive days, but you must complete all travel within the specified period.

The Flexible pass has two options: 2 or 4 days.

Remember that one round-trip on the AREX is included with this pass.

Saver vs Regular Passes

You might get confused to see we offer two kind of passes: Saver which is basically for groups and Regulars which is basically for single users.

Saver KR Pass(2~5 ppl)

A saver pass is a type of travel pass that offers a discounted price compared to a regular pass. A saver pass requires a minimum of 2 passengers and maximum 5 traveling together. This can be a great option for families, couples, or groups of friends who plan to travel together.
